Khadi

Parde ke Piche:

‘Girls, tomorrow we are going to shoot this ad, finally!! So be prepared and yeah! Janvi you write few lines or a poem which we can narrate in the background for our ad’ instructed Smita ma’am with a ‘Don’t-worry-we-will-do-it’ expression.

I was given around 30 minutes to write something on khadi, I had already done my homework by doing research on the same topic, so I just trusted my pen and started writing something ,to put it precisely I can say…started scribbling something; my writing is horrible especially when I write poems!

It was later that my poem was approved and appreciated. I am a lucky soul as I got the chance to write the background narration for this ad, I gave my voice for the same and I also acted in it! It was a college level ad making competition which resulted into my below written poem.

Khadi

I asked, what’s Khadi?
A question very grumpy.

Khadi- a traditionally modern sanskar
Taking re-birth in Indian parivar.

Khadi- a feeling of esteem and pride.
“Made in India” bright & enlight.

Khadi- for all season,
Let’s wear it for a good reason.

Khadi- a skin friendly vardan,
Created by the father of the nation with swaman.

Making fabric a fashion statement,
To youth’s notion let’s bend.

Khadi blesses with stylish soul,
Making Indian’s, Bharatiya whole.

Khadi- a cloth close to nature,
Made for patriotic, comfy & fancy creature.

Khadi –a Bharatiya legacy,
So to khadi future let’s foresee.

Khadi not a fabric but a feeling,
Touching Indian’s heart string.

Khadi – Lets wear it, Feel it, Celebrate it!
