FAKEBOOK
Lets add meaning to facebook by saying
‘Sayonara’ to ‘Facebook evils’
“I need atleast 1000 people from youth to make
India a developed country “ Said Swami Vivekananda displaying the power of
young blood but inspite of having the largest number of youth if India is still
sick due to corruption, casteism , communalism, poverty...than there must be
some problem behind the curtain with the present youth ,which is why aged man
like Anna hazare is coming up to Transform ‘India’ and on the other side the
youth is just titillating themselves by wearing T-shirts and caps of ‘I’m Anna’ !
There are several elements
which effect the youth and turn it directionless and major one among them is
‘Facebook’ . The tradition of facebook has now become inextricably woven into
the fabric of our lives and so with Roti, kapda and makan -facebook is also the
need of the masses.
If you say Facebook –
improves your love life, increases your self esteem, helps to market yourself, aids
you to find old friends, it brings you closer to famous people...and so on,
Needless to say that I agree with you But when you keep the ‘Facebook generation’ under
microscope you realize that :
·
Due to the
concrete jungle of life , when a teenager can’t FACE the bitter truths ,he goes
to FACEbook. Here, Facebook can you temporary shelter but the real world is not
‘Rosy and pinky’ as visible in facebook.
·
It reduces
your social skill. Often people forget how to communicate correctly with people
in person and thus face –to- face communication becomes the Achilles Heel of
the youngsters.
·
It places you
into a “Zero % “feelings world as the joy of seeing someone smile or the pain
of seeing someone cry is being taken away. If one cannot be emotionally and
personally connected with someone, then its par to -not be connected at all.
·
It takes you
away from the harsher realities of life and so one starts losing interest in
his or her surroundings. As a result the only thing you would be concerned
about will be your “own” world, which is inside Facebook!
·
It surely has
negative impact on one’s health. There is a very high chance that excessive use
of Facebook leads to the users becoming obese. You would be sitting most of the time in front of the computer, eating snacks and without any physical
activities. And, over a period of time you are going to accumulate all the extra pounds.
·
The word
"Facebook" is often synonymous with "procrastination." As
it is like a monster which eats your time and thus leaving teenagers with
overburden and total depression. Here Bansi palan 16, of Modi School comments
“Doing my homework is important to me, But I can’t help getting caught up in
the world of Facebook.”
Well,
After reading the above Red signals if you are cupping your chin in misery than
I surely have something for you in my goody bag! To say ‘Sayonara’ to the evils of Fakebook check
out the following tips:
·
If you are an
fb addict than try using it at fixe time intervals when you want to cut loose
from the boredom of the work yoFakeu are doing. But don’t overuse Facebook breaks.
·
There exist a
world outside facebook which is even more beautiful than it, so to refresh
after work you can-Sometimes take a 5 or 10 minute walk outside Or maybe drop in on a friend to say a
quick "hello." Have a coffee and browse through your friend's summer
vacation album you've been meaning to flip through... then, back to the grind!
·
As facebook is
a planet where several students dwell ,so they can use the platform to enhance
their studies by developing a ‘Study corner’
, thus using facebook nicely and
wisely!
·
On the other
hand I would encourage faculty members who want to integrate Facebook into
their courses to set up a Facebook
group and use the
group to continue class discussions, allow students to ask questions, and
encourage students to post and comment on class-related links.
Well, Fate adds salt, our mistakes add pepper . That’s life how gets its
taste but If you realize that the pepper part was overdone by you due to
facebook than lets spread the seeds of change. Buddies it’s time to wake up so
as to start our 2nd freedom movement against Facebook , just by
thinking twice before loging on this
“FAKEBOOK”.
Nutshell.
When teenagers
can’t FACE the harsh world they turn to FACEbook-so, here is the cure for this
fatal issue.
